I was listening to the Blues Brothers rendition of "Rubber Buscuit" and in the lyrics Elwood Blues said he had Cool Water Sandwich and a Sunday go to Meeting Bun. What is that? Its kinda say he never got a sandwich....the cool water sandwich is used in the south for Watermelon...well used to be...I havent heard it cept from odler folks...and Sunday go to meeting is Church...on a bun...lol...its basically sarcasm It's just a tongue in cheek take on traditional blues lyrics like"I'd rather drank muddy water & sleep in a hollow lawg" Mithyjane, you're my hero. |
