I am planning to buy a Guitar,,,,Which is better- Acoustic or Electric??

Please help!! I am going to purchase it on 2nd of june. Budget is not a problem. Please consider that i am not ging to play ROCK or HIP HOP.....My choice is BLUES like that in MLTR.................Waiting for a word of reply---

If you are just learning or starting to play after a long time, then you should go ahead for an accoustic. However, if you have already mastered playing it then go for an electric guitar.
Plus, there are these new partial electric guitars available which can be played both as accoustic as well as electric when connected to a power supply.

definately acoustic if you are planning to play the blues.

Personally, if budget is not a problem....you should buy an acoustic, an electric, and a jazz box.

Electrics are easier to play but in my opinion, an acoustic sounds better. A jazz box has the cut aways in the body so they have a great acoustic/electric sound. So if you're looking to learn how to play blues, Acoustic and jazz box are the best options. But when you learn guitar, you'll like it so much that you'll want to buy more.

if your playing the blues then get an acoustic it sounds much better in blues songs the electric is more of the rock/emo/hip hop music

i love the sound of acoustic.....it's just more artistic

Electric guitars and blues have a long history of working well together. Especially with a tube amp -- you get this beautiful, warm, harmonically rich tone that just oozes emotion. I prefer humbucking pickups (think Gibson Les Paul) to single-coils (think Fender Strat), because I find that the Strat is just waaaay too thin. Semi-hollowbodies like the ES-335 can be amazing blues machines -- retaining a very warm and jazzy sound while also handling overdriven amps very, very well.

But that's just me ... i think you ought to go to a guitar store, and just play around a bit.
