Some Pointers?

Can I have some pointers on writing blues music on electric guitar? Anything would be good! Thanks!

Try using a lot of dominant 7th chords in place of your regular major chords and power chords. These are usually marked with just a 7 (Ex. C7, E7, G7, etc...)
As for lead playing work, learn the minor pentatonic scale and the Blues scale in all of there respective positions. You can find diagrams of these in the links below. Also, for blues in a minor key, try playing the Dorian mode. Also don't be afraid to just experiment and just "wing it", after all the blues comes from the inside:) I hope this helps, if you need more specifics just edit your question and/or contact me. Later!

Learn from the best: Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix.

How come you don't start w/ the acoustic before you move on to the electric? That's if you haven't already! From my experience, I have noticed w/ writing blues music with my acoustic compared to my electric tends to be in a bit slower tempo. So there's going to be a difference. How long have you been playing the blues? Hope this helps out! :)

Learn music theory. Period. This will help you immensly no matter what you need to work on. try out this site.
