Do blues lovers like Charles Bukowski?

I love blues and like Charles Bukowski's books... His books are all like blues songs to me... What do you guys think?

His characters are mostly in depression. But blues is not only a depression for me. When I begin to play with my guitar I get relax.
In general meaning of Blues you might be right. There can be a similarity between them. But personally I don't think so.
