Does anyone think Cream will be at the Crossroads Guitar Festival held in Chicago, IL? |
I had seen an article saying they were going to be getting together for an unspecified show. Ginger Baker isn't dead! Remind you. Here is a list of Current Artist Listing (Confirmed) you forgot Robbie Robertson, Jerry Douglas, and Susan Tedeschi Report It Cream was great in their time (one of the best bands ever)and Eric Clapton has always been a major guitar inspiration on anyone who plays rock or blues guitar but they are 60 year old men now. Play a live Cream album and imagine 60 year old men playing like that. Actually they can. Its just hard to picture. Clapton is still incredible. But I read there is still a lot of friction between Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. I heard the band was going to reform for a few shows. Not sure if Clapton's gig would be one of them. I am going to be in Chicago that weekend and, if I'm able to get to the festival, I'd sure hope so. It's impossible Ginger Baker is dead. Jack Bruce disappeared. I'd give the whole list of them up to have Stevie Ray Vaughn back...he was taken away from us much, much too soon! Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce HATE eachother after their last reunion tour. I just read a "Guitar Legends" magazine with interviews detailing Eric's career where he'd said something to the effect of he was tired of him being refered to as "Some mythological dimensional creature that would someday reform Cream", ....so i guess he's out. Maybe a Jack Bruce / Blues Saraceno thing will show up... Maybe you were thinking of the Blind Faith reunion at the crossroads festival? |
