What is your favorite axe, and its name?

...I really like my RED Fender Tele, love that girl! ...hadn't named yet, other than "baby".

Great stuff you all are sharing, guitar's are very personal, this is becoming a great list!
That "bom chicka wah wah", sounds like a bad *ss' git box!

Don't have money to buy one but would love to have a red Gibson EDS 1275 (6/12 doubleneck that Jimmy Page made famous)

the guitar I actually have is a Ibanez SG copy but haven't named it.

..bom chicka wah wah

I was going to quit playing after 30+ years. But my friends wouldn't let me and bought me a really nice special edition Dean hollow body electric, gave it to me and told me no, you have to keep playing. Named her Dream Boat Annie after the woman who presented it to me, had it cherried out and play all the time and decided I will never quit playing music.

My top guitar is a 1990 Strat in Gun Metal Blue. I call it "Lucky" since I bought it with money I won at craps!

Ah, I would have to say my Ibenez Les Paul copy was my sweet heart right from day one.She was an"Easy Lover"with excellent action, custom pick ups,Kahler machines. She always stayed in tune.I made allot of R'n'R with that guitar.

I have a nameless 1973 sunburst Fender Stratocaster.
I also have a nameless Aspen acoustic guitar.

i have a peavey millenium 5-string bass in transparent blue with a quilted maple top and black hardware. i call it "black on blue". it's a $250 guitar but it plays like buttah!

OHH Les Paul alllllll the way!!!!!

My vinatge round neck accoustic resonator Dobro...."Slick"

Hey Career Adolescent!
I have the same Ibenez Les Paul copy vintage 1976!
All black! Ivory edge banding and pick guard and tuners.
Big square inlaid frets.
I love sliding on my "Blackie"

I am just dreaming of the new Fender Strat VG.
(Roland and Fender Hi-bred) can you say versatile?

Love them all
White Strat: Margerine
Red Strat: Red
Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top : Goldie

I have a Peavey T-60 that I liberated from the pawn shop and cleaned her up myself, mostly. Man, is she heavy, in so many ways(metaphorically, aurally, visually and physically). She doesn't need a name, she speaks a language that is above all labels.

I named my first guitar which is an Ibanez Fat Strat, "Katie;" after my first crush. I since customized it with phase switches.

It's my "Angela", a late 70's Gibson Les Paul Standard, Burgundy colored w/ creme binding, that was stolen from me in 1982 when i was in Long Beach CA. The name Angela has been scratched on the underside of all control cavities, pickgaurd , underside, etc. "She" is also listed on several on-line stolen guitar databases. ......Someday....maybe.

Gibson ES-335, i call her Jew-cille (i'm jewish)

also my Gibson POS, Jessica

I have a Mexican Strat that I tore apart, and rebuilt with a custom Warmoth maple neck, Graphite nut, Planet Wave tuners, Fender Texas Specials pickups, 5 springs on the "Floating Trem", and I've got her strung with Ernie Ball .011s.

She is Fat and Clean, and she'll tear you face off given the chance.

I haven't really given her a name, although my Wife calls it "That F*cking Guitar".

I love my Martin D28S lefty. Neck joins body at 12th fret. She is 15 years old now. This left-handed model is also quite rare. Been playing traditional blues like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, and Rev. Gary Davis, since 1968, and I love to see the new interest in these players these days!

Fender...Telecaster...Yessss!
I've got a 1983 American-made cream Tele.
LOVE that guitar....but I've never named my guitars, I'll leave that to B.B.King.

My second fav is a 1968 Gibson ES-335.

Love the Gibson Les Paul

Mine's a metallic red Yamaha mid-range guitar. Kinda like those u see on ibanez websites. I've included a beige pickguard and it looks fantastic to me.

If you're going to talk about axes, why not talk about your favourite amp, and why it is?

You play her long enough....she'll tell you her name.

I play a 86 Ibanez roadstar II.
the pickguard is loaded with reissue American 70's strat. I bought this guitar new. I am used to this guitar. love it's weight, and it playes like a dream. So in went the strat stuff, and I have never turned back.
My grand daughter calls it whitie. I don't call it anything. I play it

well me first guitar is fender strat ( black ) thats me baby but i have another love me 12 string madeira and then just me 6 string yamaha its pretty old along with the madeira. i picked up the mad at a shop for 130 nice deal. even if i got ripped off its a beaut.. so it doesnt matter

Musicman axis supersport..."The B*tch"

Squier Strat with a dirty-white enamel finish that looks like a bus station toilet seat.

I call it..."StratoCrapper".

my axes name is Wink

I've always been partial to the 1965 tobacco-sunburst Mosrite 'Ventures' model. Very heavy and fat surf-guitar sound!! Like no other axe, my friend...

I once saw this axe in a 12-string model and I spent two hours drooling over it at the music store. I was asked to leave after the owner figured I couldn't afford it!

I wish I could get in Mr. Peabody's 'Way-Back Machine' and return to 1965 to buy one real cheap.

Second choice: Bonnie Raitt's strat - with her attached as an accessory.

Oooooooo, mine's a cherry red sunburst early 70's model Gibson 335. SweeeeeeeeeeeeT, and faithful as the sunshine! Her christian name is "Round and Firm and Fully Packed", but I just call her "Fully"!
