Anybody know any completely instrumental Rock or Blues CD's?

Hellecasters (lots)
Gary Lucas
Roy Buchanan

Go to Youtube and check them out!

Add on:
Almost forgot about Peter Frampton's latest CD that is all instrumental! "Fingerprints" was Grammy nominated.

Pink Floyd is the closest that comes to mind. But even that has some sort of hollow sounding vocals. That's a good question though. I'll check back to see if anyone else answers.

joe satriani

Joe Satriani's "Surfing With The Alien" comes to mind, All his releases were a lot of instrumental rock / varied stuff, but "Surfing" was the only one i believe that was totally non-vocal. He did sing the odd tune here and there on other releases. You can also check out the Shrapnel catalog (Shrapnel Records) which is pretty heavy with guitar rock and blues instrumental stuff , some cats you probably never even heard of... ,

If you are looking for blues instrumentals....

Roy Buchanan
Freddie King
Earl Hooker has a few
Little Walter - Juke, Rollercoaster, Don't Need No Horse...
Allman Brothers - Jessica, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, Mountain Jam

try gary moore back to the blues

Steve Vai- "Passion and Warfare" must have!!!!!!!
Robert Johnson-the complete recordings-Blues pack
Kenny Wayne Sheppard- Any album is worth the price
not all instrumental but great albums just the same

For a latin flair and unbelievable guitar work, pick up a copy of Rodrigo y Gabriela. Package includes Stairway to Heaven, many original cuts, and a DVD that shows you how they play a couple of songs. You may have seen them on Leno or Letterman a while back. Well worth it.

Ronnie Earl has a number of all instrumental blues/jazz CDs. He's a marvelous guitar player.
