Anybody know any completely instrumental Rock or Blues CD's? I love instumentals! Pink Floyd is the closest that comes to mind. But even that has some sort of hollow sounding vocals. That's a good question though. I'll check back to see if anyone else answers. http://cdbaby.com/style/113/all joe satriani Joe Satriani's "Surfing With The Alien" comes to mind, All his releases were a lot of instrumental rock / varied stuff, but "Surfing" was the only one i believe that was totally non-vocal. He did sing the odd tune here and there on other releases. You can also check out the Shrapnel catalog (Shrapnel Records) which is pretty heavy with guitar rock and blues instrumental stuff , some cats you probably never even heard of... , If you are looking for blues instrumentals.... try gary moore back to the blues Steve Vai- "Passion and Warfare" must have!!!!!!! For a latin flair and unbelievable guitar work, pick up a copy of Rodrigo y Gabriela. Package includes Stairway to Heaven, many original cuts, and a DVD that shows you how they play a couple of songs. You may have seen them on Leno or Letterman a while back. Well worth it. Ronnie Earl has a number of all instrumental blues/jazz CDs. He's a marvelous guitar player. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_roc... Pink Floyd - symphonic floyd |
