Is Taylor hicks considered Blues?

I can't find him on any radio stations. If not the blues then what?

Taylor Hicks is a pop singer not a blues singer. He has that soulful sound. Since he won A I he is no where to be found. What hits did he make to be on the radio anyway?

Hicks did a 53 city sold out live tour & is now doing a 2nd one. His album is Platinum in spite of NO radio time--thanks to the AI nerds who controlled him then. He's been on every TV talk show at least twice. He just released his biography HEART AND SOUL.
