i am looking to get a good quality acoustic guitar
i played a gibson j45 and it sounded great to me
had that tone that you hear from old blues records
can anyone recomend one before i go spend a heap of cash on one

I do like the J45 but you should play several different ones...they will all sound different. There are many good quality acoustics out there, some expensive, some real reasonable. Go play 100 acoustic guitars. You will know what you REALLY want when you get to about 20 guitars. Try to get a good quality used one. If you don't know guitars very well take someone with you who can inspect it. You can probably get one off of Ebay, but be sure you can trust the person selling the guitar, and be prepared to at least get it adjusted a bit when you receive it - different locales affect guitars in different ways. |
