Naturally, Mayall, Clapton, and Peter Green come to the fore front, but there are several more players and bands.

Technically speaking you could add Jimi Hendrix to the list...although he was american he was discovered playing blues in the UK....

No one mentioned Keith Richards and the Rolling Stones, they were heavily influenced by the old blues artists from the US. I see that someone did mention Humble Pie. That is where Peter Frampton got his start.
