Does Anyone Remember That Young Blues Guitarist...? |
That came to be quite popular about 10+ years ago? Johhny lang is his name. He is an excellent musician. Darker Side is a great song. Johnny Lang Johnny Lang Jamie Eubanks? His name is Johnny Lang, he released a new album not too long ago. I believe he was actually 16 at the time he recorded his first album. Another one to check out if you are into blues is Kenny Wayne Sheppard who was also coming on the scene at the same time at a young age, 18 or 19 I think. His dad was Stevie Ray Vaughn's roadie and Stevie taught him how to play...Awesome stuff! It might be Joe Bonamassa. He opened for B.B. King... when he was 12 years old. He is about 28 years old now, so ten years ago he would have been around 18. I am a blues-rock guitarist and I think Joe is one of the best in the world, possibly THE best in his style. I would LOVE to be able to hold my own with Joe on stage, and am hoping to be able to jam with him someday. Johnny Lang is cool, but Joe Bonamassa can probably "play circles around him". Joe is definitely one of the best blues-rock guitarists around today, so if you are into that style you should definitely check him out. Johnny Lang is probably the guy you remember. However, it is possible that you're thinking of Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Lang has a great voice, especially considering his age. KWS is primarily a guitarist and has a "hired gun" on his albums doing most of the vocal chores. are you sure you're not talking about Kenny Wayne Shepherd? He came out about the same time and shredded the blues. |
