How do you play that Blues outro that's in so many songs?

It's the really popular one that goes from high to low and does a little turn at the end. I know this questions is vague and sounds silly but I am also vague and silly and not all too bright. Thanx ahead of time for any help.

I think you are talking about the 'turn around".

The turnaround occurs in a 12-bar blues in bar 11.

Bar 9 is the V7 chord, bar 10 is the IV chord, and then bar 11 is the turnaround. Bar 12 is usually a return to the V7 chord right before the repeat of the whole pattern.

Okay, so there are MANY variations on the turnaround. Here is a commone one. Play the following scale steps - one per beat in the four beats of bar 11: 1 b7 6 b6 - then right to the V7 chord for bar 12.

Example in the key of E blues: | E, D, Db, C | B7 chord ||

Or - try this one: | D, Db, C, B | B7 Chord ||

Try playing those notes on the "b" string while also playing an open E simultaneously.

Good luck, and have at it!

In the key of E it would be E A G E
First bar Half rest, Sixteenth rest, "E" sixteenth, "A" dotted quarter note "G" sixteenth, Second bar "E" quarter note, quarter rest, half rest. Repeat.

This example is in the key of A.

I think I know what you're talking about. It is a little hard to explain here. If you ask any guitarist that has played for a couple years, they may be able to just show you. It isn't too hard.
A lot of times it is in the key of E. After the run from high to low, using the third string and first string, you make a little run up to the B7 chord. The run is on the 5th string. You should have someone show you though.

I think the one you mean is where, if you were playing a 12-bar in E, as guitarists do, after playing B7in bars 9 & 10 you run down on successive beats Adim, G#dim, Gdim, F#dim| E,A7,B7 - | It works both strummed and picked string by string in triplets.
