What is your favorite blues song when you have a broken heart? |
What is your favorite blues song when you have a broken heart? Man. So many. I think ID RATHER BE BLIND by ETTA JAMES WOW!!!!made me cry,ROD STEWART does a version also.STILL GOT THE BLUES FOR YOU by GARY MOORE is another sad blues song, just the way he plays his guitar. What I would do is pick the most heart retching song from your answers.Set it on repeat for an hour, once you've desensitized, call some friends over and switch to boogie "Hurtin' So Bad" - Johnny Winter from 'Saints and Sinners' Promises by Eric Clapton BB King "The Thrill is Gone" or "Ain't nobody Home" B.B King - Three O'Clock Blues or How Blue Can You Get? It is not really a "blues" song in the literal sense of the word, but my favorite broken heart song is "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)" by Cinderella. It is from the Long Cold Winter album and all of the songs have a real bluesy feel. Tina Turner sang a blues song, "Burning in the afterglow". Pretty much summed things up! Dreaming with a Broken Heart by John Mayer Gotta go with Love in Vain by Robert Johnson. Life by the Drop Stevie Ray Vaughan Good-bye Pork Pie Hat---Charles Mingus Bonnie Raitt's "I can't make you love me" Or Billie Holiday. Or Etta James. Depends on my mood & who broke my heart. "Members Only" by, Bobby Blue Bland The Sky Is Crying by whichever artist you prefer. So many great versions. The Messiah Will Come Again - Roy Buchanan |
