Shemekia Copeland If you are looking for modern blues, check out Jackie Greene. His first major label release is available now and he is a really good blues player. He is a local guy that my band has played with several times and he is impressive. Also, I really like North Mississippi Allstars, but their music isn't traditional blues. It is more jammy. For older stuff, start off with the legends and branch off from there. Blues has some sub genres so it is hard to say what you will like without knowing closer to what you are wanting. |
