Do you remember Alexis Korner's radio programme in the late 70s?

Sunday night I think, man was that a good show, I was only a callow youth at the time & heard so much good new music on his show, unmissable i tells ya... unmissable

Wow, that takes me back!! It was always on when I was having my Sunday night bath as a kid!!! He had a totally unique voice, it was on after the top 40 if I remember rightly.

right on brother

Along with
Emperor Rosco, Stuart Henry, Radio 1 club, whispering bob Harris and whistle test.. F**k it, you have just made me feel old..

Yes, I remember it well. The Rolling Stones used to be his backing band before they became famous. The programme used to be on Saturday afternoons, around 3 or 4pm.

yeah; when i was at college in the 60s we did a benefit concert for Skip James who had cancer and your man gave his services for free; we said he had a voice the colour of black charas!
