Anybody heard Al Wilson sing "Pulling Hair Blues" from their album "London '70"? So sad,considering what happened later...How about his solo on "Hooker and Heat"on 'Boogie Chillem'...even John Lee says on disc..."I donna know he followin' me,but he is ,mean cat.." I dig it.Respect. Have heard, and "Blind Owl" is one of my favorite harp players - under-recognized and underrated. Far superior to better known names like Charlie Musselwhite. Unfortunately, its probably due to his early death. Artist tend to have respect for other artists. Canned Heat put out a vast amount of albums and you have to respect them for that. |
