Moody Blues?

Who thinks that this group is one of the best? Question????

Their first seven albums are the best: Days of Future Passed, In Search of the Lost Chord, On The Threshold of a Dream, To Our Children's Chidren's Children, Question of Balance, Every Good Boy Deserves Favor and Seventh Sojourn. This was the lineup of Justin Hayward, John Lodge, Ray Thomas, Mike Pinder and Graeme Edge. Pinder left after Sojourn and they changed somewhat.

They were on a five-year hiatus after 'Sojourn' and their return, Octave, wasn't as good. Justin Hayward and John Lodge did a collaboration called 'Blue Jays' during the hiatus. They returned with Long Distance Traveller, which was brilliant return, but I am not too impressed with much after that. At this time, Ray Thomas has retired, but they are still touring.

I saw them in 1993 outdoors at Wolf Trap Park outside of DC with the National Symphony Orchestra backing them and I still get shivers up my spine just remembering that show. They are one of my all-time favorite bands!

The Moodies - yeah - I'll sit & listen when I hear them on the radio or wherever!

Hey now your showing your age!!! but yes id agree with you.

I sincerly appreciate the Moody Blues, like many other of the same period.

My favorite from the Moody Blues is "Nights in White Satin" I repeatedly listened on the radio when I was about 8 years old. It seems that good songs stay recorded in my mind for ever. My big problem is to find the titles of nearly each and all of these songs I remember with an accuracy that surprises me. Those recollection include the entire parts of nearly each and every musical instrument, but never the lyrics! And the fact is that I never pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics. I'm interested in melodies, only and exclusively.

Yes...Question,is a brilliant song, one of the best they did, just listen to the lyrics. They are one of the best groups from the 60's/70's.Putting out some classic songs;not least, 'Nights In White Satin'.

yes yes yes
I put them in the same category as Pink Floyd as "greatest groups to grace Gods green earth"

Yes Good listen to them on Pandora

i prefer their 1st album,,,,go now,,,,,, but in search of the lost chord is my 2nd fav.
