Ful House and Wonder Years were not kids shows, they were fmaily shows, and not for little little kids. Kids shows have pretty much always been bright colors, like Barney, Cartoons fromt eh 60's and 70's and such. Maybe they seem brighter because television definition and picture quality are much better.

Although I am sure blues fans and musicians have no trouble answering this question, you would likely get a better response in an appropriate catagory! They automatically selected this catagory FOR you because you have "blues" in the title of the post! They're using bright colors because kidz right are always attracted to light colors, especially little girls, they usually wear dresses with the colors: light pink, light blue, orange, yellow, etc... Light colors are symbols for happiness as to kids who are, most of the time, happy, gay, and jolly... and when they see those light colors(which they usually see in their everyday life) in the TV, they get attracted... to get their attention.
