Can you help me with an artist?

I was on vacation and at a party, I heard this cd of aguy who played this smokin' blues on a peddle steel guitar. Who is it and any reccommendations on cd's of his to get?

He was a black guy, it was just his name as the artist--as opposed to a "band name" he was a fairly new artist. Could it be Randolph something or something Randolph. I was at a party so my memory is kinda foggy.
