Are there any Stevie Ray Vaughn fans here?

It would be hard to imagine, if anyone heard him and didn't become a fan.

I tip my hat.

Yes, there certainly are!

Let me share with you my very favourite SRV live performance. It's "Texas Flood" from the El Mocambo, and it's the stuff of which legends are made:

I am an SRV fan. I think he was a brilliant guitar player and a fabulous Blues singer.

Absolutely > Fave song is " life by the drop "

RIP Stevie

Oh for sure, gotta love SRV and the way he could handle a strat, nobody like him.

*sigh* TOO many.

I LOVE SRV, but sometimes he seems to be the answer for everything on this forum as if there wasn't a wealth of players throughout blues' long and wonderful history!

Although, extra props for the person who said they liked 'Life By The Drop' ... good tune.

Stevie Ray Vaughn was cool. I only wish I could have seen him live.

I still think SRV was one of the greats and his version of Vodoo Chile was as good as Hendrix. Amazing guitarist, supposed to be self taught and reckons he cannot read music. Doesn't need to if he can play like that. BLUES ROOLS OK.

yes indeed there is at least one right here:) fav song,,,life by the drop.

SRV is my hero!
I love Tin Pan Alley (a.k.a. Roughest Place in Town), and basically everything that comes from his fingers.

Have all of his DVD's and the Mocambo and 1985 Montreux Jazz Festival are great ;)

you know it!
pride and joy and texas flood

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! He's the reason I even picked up a guitar over seven years ago!

I love Stevie Ray Vaughan's music. Sadly I only heard about him after he died. What a tragic waste it was.

Hmmmm....
HELL YEA!
SRV!

of course but i "couldnt stand the weather" and mnay others
"change it" is my favorite by srv

srv... possibly the greatest strat player in the world

Often put Life by the drop on repeat- love him

SRV can straight play. I've added "Texas Flood" and "Couldn't Stand the Weather" to my album collection.

I don't have a favorite song but "Mary had a Little Lamb" seems to put me in the right mood

Like everyone else in here, YES!
However, I think his greatest work and feat came when he played Montreaux for the second time after being booed off the stage the first time. His best song was with Johnny Copeland called Tin Pan Alley.
