A knighthood for john mayall?

c'mon,let's start a petition.

Loved Mayall. Geez.. what a name from the past for me! Do you remember the acoustic album he did during the 70's? I teethed on the blues... actually being a white kid, I had my roots in gospel. My mother listened to Mahaliah(spelling?) Jackson. I was exposed to that on my mother's side and my dad's mother was a pianist on Broadway who dabbled in big band music.. I had the best of both worlds.

He should have something, shouldn't he? Taught 'em all....

Why not. Time to dig out the old Bluesbreakers LP's I think.

no what about rik

OK. In that case how about one for Rik. Sir Alan isn't enough.

I agree! After all he is the father of British blue,s. I mean Sir John Mayall sound,s good to me.

Well ... bring a yank, I have very little say.

If Parliment and the Queen think so, who am I to dispute?

>>Hell Yeah!
I still listen to the bluesbreakers & canned heat......
John Mayall = Great voice!

Sure, hey when you have smokers like mick taylor, coco montoya, walter trout, eric clapton etc, etc. Something in john mayall's blues machine must have & still is awsome, not forgetting all the above had those licks going in, i feel the blend was always brought to a lightning rod that went on after
they went their own way! see ya, ~~ brother, can you spare a dime ? tim~~~~
