Is this a good blues spng?

in music class we ha dto write a blues song
i was with my friend and we made up this song

The Fat Cat
the fat cat walked down the street
and then he ate the whole town
the fat cat walked down the street
and then he ate the whole town

Oh yay! the cat just died
now i can go out and play

it is supposed to be short and kind of funny
i just want to know your opinion on the song

There doggin' ya ... but I kind of liked it ;)

I am reminded of "Hound Dog".

Often, in blues - you use SOMEONE or SOMETHING ELSE (like a fat cat) to talk about your love (or ex-love, or whatever).

Could spin this out to be a kind of "waiting for my big-shot husband to die so I can go off on my own" kind of song ...

But you don't SAY that, you say 'fat cat' instead ;)

no its not a good blues song. sorry.

Gotta agree with ??? try harder

I like fat cats...why did he have to die?

Sorry but I love the Blues and this doesn't do it for me.

Usually, blues songs rhyme.

I don't know why, but I like it and I can hear someone like LaVerne Baker or Bullmoose Jackson singing it. A walking bassline's in my head.

well i kinda naturally put it to crossroad blues by robert johnson and it kinda worked the lines didnt quite fit but i fit em and it worked

keep trying.

Blues is emotional music not nursery rhymes. It's talking about life and the emotions one encounters (mostly love)
let's be honest there is no real emotion in this piece of music. Blues does write songs about animals but usually as a metaphore
