Your asking for the world !
All music goes back further than time forgot
How do you know blues wasn't around in the 9th century for example ??

Woke up this mornin'.

dam dem apples, Adam, ages ago, garden of eden, dem apples is bad man, cos cider wasnt made yet, screwing up

African slaves in america singing to each other whilst working in the fields in the 1800's. They couldnt talk so they sung songs and they'd be 'blue' and thats where the blues originated from and why most blues musicians are african americans

The blues developed from slave songs in the late 19th century, the blues were being sung long before the term was coined. Nobody will ever know who wrote the first blues song as it developed from an oral tradition before the invention of recording techniques.
W.C. Handy never invented the blues, in his autobiography he recalls first hearing the blues in 1903 at the railroad station in Tutwiler. By this time it is believed that the blues had already been established across the Southern States for 30 years. Therefore its birthdate is circa 1870, a date agreed by most blues historians.
W.C Handy's Memphis Blues was not actually a blues but an instrumental cakewalk. At the time there was a fad for using the word "blues" in song titles. Memphis Blues was the third tune to do this.
The song that is regarded as the first blues song to ever be recorded is Crazy Blues by Mamie Smith. It was recorded on Tue 10th August 1920 in New York and she was backed by a group called The Jazz Hounds. Written by Perry Bradford, the record sold well: estimates talk of 75,000 copies in the first month and a million in the first year.

for "arguements sake", might as well say Robert Johnson's "Crossroads", cause that is what it is all about. The myth behind the title of the song answers all your questions.

I agree with ajpacey 100%

The first Blues is undocumented and came from the cotton fields of Mississippi. Many people have tried to do a "study" on Blues but it is intangible and best left to feel rather than research.

Impossible to answer. It was not invented and patented. Blues is a art form, and like all art forms it evolved over time from several different roots, and will continue to further evolve.
