Is blues Clues a boy or a girl?

My friend is telling me that the dog Blue from Blues Clues is a girl and the dog Magenta is a boy. Which one is true?

from what i remember when my nephew used to watch, about 5-6 years, blues is a girl, steve used to always call her girl. as for magenta, i don't think that character was around then, hope someone can help you with that one

Take the Dog out for a walk & when you stop....if the dog lifts a leg...it is a boy....if the dog squats.....it is a girl....
