Tell me about Shuggie Otis?

Tell me about Shuggie Otis?

I got his first solo LP when he was 15 in 1969, then bought the one with the original Strawberry Letter #23.

It was great seeing him perform as part of his dad's band, the Johnny Otis Review, at the Blue Room in New Orleans in 1988. He wasn't featured as much as you might expect, but he was kind, friendly and signed LPs for my friend and me. The guitar solos and fills he did do were brilliant, serving each song well. But remember, Johnny Otis always had an all star roster of players and singers, so it's hard to be a titan among giants.

I always had a great deal of respect for him turning down the offer to join the Rolling Stones to remain with his father.

Check out the Wikipedia.
