Who sings a bluesy song called "Taj Mahal?"?

I saw a band last night and they played what I think was a cover of a song called Taj Mahal. Who originally sang it? It was Rock and Blues

Taj Mahal is the name of a blues artist - maybe it was a cover of one of his songs?

it might be john hammond

Not sure I think it was a band back in the 80's and they were kind of jazzy. If you liked what you heard look up Jesse "Guitar" Taylor on You Tube or google him. He's gone now but trust he's a ledgend. I had the pleasure of playing with him on a few occations.

Taj Mahal is an artist and it was probably a cover of one of his songs.
