John mayall? |
what a harmonica player ! what a genius ! I saw John during the 70's.. He did an acoustic set too. .Great player.. I agree! Blues From Laurel Canyon, brilliant album.Especially The Bear what a guitar intro by Mick Taylor. Poor John. I like Mayall, a lot of his albums are real hit or miss though. For my harmonica fix I gotta get down with the Butterfield Blues Band. 8) All I know of him is the bluesbreakers record with Eric Clapton - but his harmonica on that is (was) brilliant! if u like his harp playing ,start listening 2 the creators of that style. sonny terry, sonny boy williamson 2 and little walter John Mayall a genius on harmonica? I beg to differ. Mayall did have some great albums. My favorite is a double album that I think was called Back To The Roots. It had Harvey Mandel, Mick Taylor, Eric Clapton, and a few others on guitar. . . . and what about MEDIUM Walter? He never gets his props. |
