Does anyone know of a blues guitarist from the 1930s with the nickname or name of Mush?

I'm trying to track down the origin of a guitar I have, and the name "Mush" is stamped on the case and the guitar. The guitar was clearly made by Gibson, an L-10.

I'm not ready to sell yet, Robert. Just trying to figure out what I have. I notice that you don't allow e-mails, so if you contact me by e-mail, I'll let you know when I get this figured out. I do expect to sell it eventually (since I'm a lousy guitar player).

It is probable that the musician nameed mush did exist, and may have been a "non-famous" musician, like me ;-)

I can tell you that if the instrument is in good condition, it's probably worth in excess of $3000. If "Mush" turns out to be the nickname of some legendary player, the guitar could be worth far more than that.

Oo- I envy you that guitar! I have a friend with a 30s Gibson L-10 and it plays so smooth you can almost put it on stage on its own.
