Does anyone know of a blues guitarist from the 1930s with the nickname or name of Mush? |
I'm trying to track down the origin of a guitar I have, and the name "Mush" is stamped on the case and the guitar. The guitar was clearly made by Gibson, an L-10. I'm not ready to sell yet, Robert. Just trying to figure out what I have. I notice that you don't allow e-mails, so if you contact me by e-mail, I'll let you know when I get this figured out. I do expect to sell it eventually (since I'm a lousy guitar player). I know a little bit about blues of that era, and i know of no one by that name. For an appraisal or a history of the guitar, go to the links below. You can also try contacting the Gibson guitar company directly. Oo- I envy you that guitar! I have a friend with a 30s Gibson L-10 and it plays so smooth you can almost put it on stage on its own. How much do you want for the guit ? it was mush mouth brown one of the many blues men of the early era of delta and country blues along with the likes of gatemouth , leadbetter , johnson and more many who will never be known except for small mentioning in the back pages of some blues history books |
