Musicians....what songs would be good for a blues/rock jam session?

How about a list of them?

I've played a lot of years, but have been out of the blues/rock jamming for about 15 years. Thanks for the ideas.

Stormy Monday is "meat and potatoes". Everybody knows it. Everybody loves it. Take a minute to learn the parts to Whippin' Post. You can jam to your hearts content. Blue Jean Blues from Z.Z.Top is CLASSIC slow-blues. All these songs are fun to jam to.

Anything by Stevie Ray Vaughan - Ain't Gone n Give Up on Love, Texas Flood, Love Struck Baby, Crossfire
Lenny Kravitz - Always on the Run, It Ain't Over til it's Over
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Chile, Wind Cries Mary, Hey Joe
Zeppelin - Anything at all!!
Stevie Wonder - Superstition, I Wish
Tower of Power - Don't Change Horses
etc, etc, etc.

stormy monday
almost any rolling stones songs
in my time of dying (actually all zeppelin)
hey joe, wind cries mary
wish you were here
little wing (all stevie ray songs)

If you were a musician you wouldnt ask such questions...so, im guessin you should just like to 12 bar bllues for awhile...you can make anything sound jazzy with a shuffle rythm and a few 7th chords here and there.

Go with the classics. Heres a few:
Stormy Monday Blues
It Hurts Me Too
Sweet Home Chicago
Drifting Blues
Its My Own Fault
The Sky Is Crying
Everyday I Have The Blues
Dust My Broom

Pride-n-Joy
Sweet Home Chicago
I Drink Alone
King Bee
Sampson and Delilah (If I had my Way)

Easy! and i'll give ya the same 12 bar slow blues in Major AND minor.

Stormy Monday - G maj.

Loan Me a Dime - G Min.

Songs by:
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Early Led Zeppelin
Origional Jeff Beck Group

Back Door Man by Willie Nixon, I recommend you listen to the Doors version too. It shows what it is and what it could be nawamean?

the best song to jam on is one chord blues,BOOGIE,jl hooker
many hour`s have been spent jammin` on this...

Please beleive me .. there's only one tune to a blues/ rock to jam to and that is : " Like it that Way " by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac from the album " Fleetwood Mac in Chicago " ( guitars by Peter Green and Danny Kirwan, sung by Danny Kirwan from the original F.. Mac..1968..).
You'd be a hit to jam to that... listen to it .....
