In Memory of Kathy French 1983 2007?

For British and American Yahooers who you might ask is Kathy French. Kathy French was a Beautiful Dublin Model who Died last Night from the Supposed Effects of Cocaine, They have finished doing the Postmortem on her tonight. She was in a Coma for a few Days and then Died she was only 24 Years of Age. She was very Beautiful very much like Claudia Schiffer, and she was very much in the Public Eye in Ireland, on Television Shows Occasionally and making a Name for Herself on The Modelling Circuit. Cocaine is the Drug of Choice of the Upwardly Mobile SucessfulYoung People From New York ,Dublin, Britain and Europe.All the Beautiful Young People take it, and they think it will do them no harm ,all the Occasional Tokers. This Girl could have been a very Succesful Brilliant Model Internationally but alas she is Dead.Why do People still Dabble with Drugs,when they could end up like this.Spare a thought for Kathy French Her Sister held her Hand at the End when she Died.Think this could be you.

I just thought i would highlight it, She only was an Occasional Toker, a dabbler .She mentioned that she took it once. a lot of the Models seem to take it. My Question was why do People still take the Drugs. A lot of People in Canary Wharf in the Stock Exchange, and High Flying Executives take it.

Why, why, why do people throw their lives away by taking drugs?

And why are the "celebs" (Kate Moss, Amy Winehouse etc.) who so publicly take drugs not made an example of? I really fear for my daughter and her friends when they get a little bit older. What a waste.

I saw that on UTV earlier. Very sad indeed and such a waste of a beautiful young life. My thoughts are with her sister and the rest of her family and friends.

We don't really know the circumstances of her death..she collapsed at a party..drug squad officers now involved. Just 24 years old and such a beautiful young woman. Condolences to her family.

terrible waste of young life, me being 46 she could have been my daughter. I do not understand why people take this sort of stuff, its not like people are in the dark about the dangers of it.

that is really sad, its always sad when young people die, they just have so much ahead of them.

people get it in there head that they need these drugs, its sad. we really need to open up more resoursces for people to get help. we need to inform people more about drugs, and not let them get started on anydrug. yes some people can do maruina and not ever do any other drug, but you can't know that that person can handle that. and its really scary, knowing how many young kids are trying, and getting addicted.

i hope this case brings to light how dangerous it can be, people just dont realise

Terrible waste of a young life. I haven't heard of her but this is just typical of what happens when someone gets involved with drugs. Very sad.

Let this be a lesson to the Kate Mosses and Amy Winehouses of this world who think its OK to take drugs.

Sorry to hear about your cousin. My partner's uncle died of a heroin overdose in 1983. He was just 23 years old. It completely destroyed his family.

Its sad to hear but people who take drugs know what they are doing to themselves . Are we expected to feel sorry for people who have everything & kiss it all up the wall through drugs ? I am sorry but I think not

its such a sad story and so is the story of the man who died in waterford...he had only just recovered from cancer....

I think you have highlighted a problem area very well indeed. Like many things drugs will never be defeated due to the nature of people and 'temptation' or addiction. When we are young we all feel invincible, those of us who somehow stumble through to middle age and beyond realise how lucky we were to get away with our own mistakes.
But you are right to keep attacking the process of saying: because we can't we win we should surrender, like the British government did when they re classified marijuana to a class 'C' and created an epidemic and an increase in criminal activity which is drug related.

Sudden death from drugs is such a waste but even worse is the lingering death millions subject themselves to by taking drugs for fun. We hate paying our governments taxes to see politicians lording it over us and living 'Hollywood' life styles at our expense, so why do people so willingly pay this 'tax' to the drug barons to live superstar lifestyles not at the expense of their wallet but at the expense of their health?

I thank God I have never been tempted to try drugs, I have enough failures to contend with, without that one.
