RIP John Lennon?

Today marks the anniversary of John Lennon's death. Please show your respect by having a moment of silence.

That was the first thing I did this morning. I have got out all my cd's of his works and am playing them all day long as a tribute to a great man and vital contribution to society at a time when the USA was in so much turmoil.

I had the pleasure to attend one of the showings of Lennon's Bag 1 series (back in the early 90's). Yoko had arranged all John's drawings with a story about what was happening at the time the drawing was made, and with a song (push the button, hear the song) that he wrote at the same time.

It was a well thought out showing.

I have all of Lennon's works on cd. (I know, todays techie has it on mp3, but I'm a little old and that's new to me).

Lennon & Yoko were a powerful force in the Vietnam Anti War movement. I often why young people today don't voice their open feelings about the meaningless war going on now? A war fought not for people, but for oil. Oil to make rich oil men richer. Oil men who sit in powerful positions in our country.

If Lennon were only alive today........................

Yes it is very sad...but thankfully his legend is so great that people care enough after almost thirty years to care about honoring him...he deserves it! "We love and miss you JOHN!!!!!!!!!"
