Performers as Politicians??????????? |
Anyone have a comment about the singularly-American penchant for turning its actors (`the lowest of the low`) into politicians, statesmen not to mention royals? That's a strange attitude to take sweetie, hmmmm well let me think ,Oh yeah OK,! well coz they are actors does not make them any lesser person than the next BUT they have a higher profile that's all. Source(s):Coz I know how politics work...hmmmm I tend to feel that some of our politicians are the best actors in the business. We now have the reverse phenomenon in the UK where politicians are becoming celebrities. Ann Widdecombe, Jeffrey Archer, Robert Kilroy Silk and George Galaway are examples of this. I think that if you would see politics as a branch of the performing arts, you would find that the situation is not a promotion, but just taking up work in another discipline of basically the same job. Perhaps we should reverse the roles and turn politicians into performers. |
