Why is that some people have crushes on celebrities, when they know they dont have a chance with them?

It's just infatuation NOT true love, crushes is just normal, it's just like idolizing, we know that we don't have chance with them we just show how we LIKE and ADORE them. It's not a sin liking a person

People have crushes on friends who they know they don't have a chance with....it doesn't have to be celebrities. And why not? Its not criminal to like someone.

thats what a crush is.......right? to think someone is hot even though your chances are slim...at least that one type of crush.....like a fantasy.......right?

to get away from reality for a while. we all need to escape reality for a short while everyday cause we'd go insane otherwise.

but some take their obession with these famous people too far.

I'm one of the people that have a crush on a celeb.They have a crush on celebrity because that celeb makes their heart beat fast.They don't care if they don't have a chance with them.Their motto would probably be:"Friends are whatever,boys are forever" or "Age doesn't matter".I used to have a crush on Pete Wentz.When I learned that he have a girlfriend already(which is Ashlee Simpson),I want to crush her, 'cause I thought Pete was still 20 or 23.When I learned he's 28,I just can't believe it.It's just normal.

you want to believe you have a chance with someone of a greater status than you are. even if its not a reality in most cases. there's many reasons to that, which are different for a lot of people.

Crush is a funny word. I don't think it is really a crush personally. I merely think that it is someone liking a celebrity mainly for their looks when they have absolutely no idea what they are really like, personality wise, except for what they have seen in the media.

Everybody has had a crush on somebody they knew they had no chance with. We do it to take us out of reality. There is nothing wrong with dreaming. Have you ever wished you had a super power will you if so you knew it wasn't possible but you still wanted it. Everyone will want something they can't have its just some people take it to a much higher level than others.

It doesn't really matter that they have crushes. Its just a temporary thing, were people idolize celebrities, and have fantisies about being with them. Its all basically a fanciful daydream, and theres nothing wrong with having them!

So what if they do? It's not a crime.
