Do you resent celebrities?

I am sick of Hollywood people and the way they foist their politics and (lack of) morality on the US population.

Lately, I choose not to see movies that include actors who are political loudmouths. Anybody else?

I resent the amount of coverage they get.

Most of them are ignorant and dope heads

i dont consider their opinion anymore than i do anybody elses

no some just have no talent and others waste their talents on alcohol and drugs.

not as much as doctors, lawyers and politicians

i work for the movie studios and am close with many celebs. many of them are very careing and loveing people who want to things better. I dont think its wrong for them to say so.

It's not that I resent them, I just don't care. Though there are some actors that I don't like that are part of really good movies that I like. I don't care about the actor; I care about the story. But yes, I can see why you think that. =)

I'm with ya. Can't imagine what makes them think that being a celebrity gives them any kind of insight on how to run the country. They're entitled to their opinions of course, but judging by the mess they make of their own lives (sorry, big generalization) their endorsement would be something I'd avoid if I were running for office.

Anyone that is in the public limelight has the right to use their celebrity for what they believe. It doesn't mean you have to agree. I have more respect for those that take the time to invest their time in what they believe. . .still doesn't mean I have to agree with them. You've missed some good movies. But I am tired of the new media stuffing certain celebrities lack of morality and other problems down my throat. I think we should celebrate those that offer something back to the community rather constantly being bombarded with who is in drug rehab and who's doing who. And if I hear OJ one more time, I will puke.

Celebrities should use their status to raise awareness about certain things. I don't see what the problem is.

I think its fun to listen to how crazy alec baldwin (he helped me become a vegetarian) can be and how brain dead Sean Penn can be. I also love that Angie Jolie is so smart and how she uses Brad as an accessory. The best celebrities are the undercover helping the best they can but noone notices or only look for faults. Celebrities and politics facinate me.
