If you know the actor Gerard Butler quite well, does he still have a serious smoking habit?

I saw Gerard on Leno earlier this year and he stated he smoked way too much, so much he thought his habit would interfere with having a relationship with a girlfriend, when asked by Leno if he was seeing anyone. His answer was of course in jest, but I was curious if he's cut back or tried to quit, esp. if my sources are correct saying his father died from Cancer?
Just Curious, of course his private life is none of mine or anyone elses business, but it never hurts to ask?

YES. Gerry has quit smoking again. He said so in Glamour UK in an interview that he had been off ciggies for six months. Must be some kind of record for him, too!
