Do you remember: I'm Walking Backwards for Christmas: by The Goons?

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ukvASdvva8...

07.55 GMT and your link's not working - but anyway, I have a copy of the original recording ! ! !

I have heard it, but have never really watched the Goons Micheal Bentene did my head in.
Spike and Peter were both comic genius!

Yes....and in saying yes I am now feeling very old. However it was my Dad's recording that I remember.

I have never heard that song before. I don't really care for Christmas songs. I know I sound like "The Scrooge" but I don't care for any seasonal music.

Just not my thing..........chicken wing. lol

Dreadful

Yes I do remember it but I don't like it.

Yes

Of course.
The Goons was a 1950's ground breaking radio comedy programme which grew out of comic idioms created out of the dregs of World War II. All kinds of blokes from different backgrounds met in the war and the dark humour generated to keep people going, resulted in a surge of comic genius afterwards.
Even the Monty Python crew said they were inspired by the Goons.
Times have moved on, but the Goons are still a lot funnier than the so called comedy we see on TV now.
Catch up with the Goons on Radio 7.
Ying tong iddle I po.
