I played the violin for 12 years but haven't picked it up in 10 years. Can anyone suggest some music to play?

I am looking for primarily classical music that would be for a solo player. Also perhaps some fundamentals books. I am used to being a orchestral player, so suggestions for solo play are desperately needed.

Some Renaissance music that the Queen of England would have paid a penny to see!

I would suggest either one of Mozarts Violin Concertos or perhaps a piece from Vivaldi's L'Estro Armonico.

get some of those play along books they are fun and simplified famous tunes so you don't get too discouraged and can get your chops back ... possibly some etude/scale books like Sevcik or Dont ... just be patient with yourself it will take time to get back in shape and have stamina
