What, in your opinion, is the most difficult classical violin piece? |
I've heard that Paganini's Caprice no. 24 is a difficult piece for the violin. Are there any other pieces that are difficult for the violin? ALL the Paganini Caprices are difficult i am not a violinist so i cant speak from experience, but i think the hardest would be "Flight of the Bumblebee" from "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" by Rimsky-Korsakov Samuel Barber violin concerto I have been informed by some violinists who can play them all that #24 is probably the easiest of Paganini's caprices. Some say that the hardest is #7. Bart贸k violin concertos; Ravel: "Tzigane"; Sarasate: "Zigeunerweisen." I've heard that the Sibelius concerto and the Tschaikovsky concerto are close contenders. Definitely Paganini no doubt about it! Violin Sonata No.4 "The Devil's Trill" by Guiseppe Tartini has got to up there in difficulty. Vivaldi's Four seasons-Summmer.You need to play your violin very hardly to get that type of music. But it make break the violin strings!Do not try this if you are at the easy level of the violin. The First Movement of Brahms' Violin Concerto ranks right up there!!! Also, ALL of Viotti's Violin Concertos are 'WAY OUT THERE!!!!!!!! Dig it!!! - El Chupacabra - |
