Does anyone know any pretty piano pieces similar to Claire de Lune by Debussy? |
I found out about "Claire de Lune" when I was reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and she mentioned the name in the book, so I checked it out and fell in love with the music!! I already found other piano pieces that I like including "Kiss the Rain"/"River Flows in You"/"Love Me" by Yiruma, "The Heart Asks Pleasure First" by Nyman and "Raindrops Prelude" by Chopin. If you know any pieces similar to these then please let me know! yea well i havent personally played these, but i did play Claire De Lune and i love his work but heres a couple of his other real good songs... Check out "Sunken Cathedral" by Debussy and "Prelude in C # Minor" by Rachmaninoff. You might like Debussy's "Fille aux cheveux de lin", one of his preludes. It has a very pretty, haunting quality, and don't be scared off by the imposing-looking key signature. It's not all that hard. Any or all of the three Gymnopeide's by Erik Satie are beautiful! If you want something more modern, check out David Lanz...my favorite is Dark Horse, but it's pretty fast. Lanz has a lot of other pretty songs, though. second part (Andante) from Sonata Pathetique by Beethoven You might also check out the Piano Nocturnes of |
