How loud is the tabla?

What type of sound and how loud is the tabla? Is the sound high, medium or low?

Moderately loud. But definately not as loud as a snare drum.

Pitch is mid to high range.

tabla makes a beautiful sound .... it changes, depending upon where on the drum head you place your hands .... it is not particularly loud, but surely it is loud enough to be heard !!!
