Why do people like mozart?

what makes him so amazing?explain plz

Mozart is a lot like the violin. Played properly, it sounds effortless -- yet it is the most difficult to make it sound that way. You may have never heard it played "live" as well as it needs to be played, but it is much easier to acquire that taste once you hear it that way.

It has to be so clean, so smooth, that I've heard performing it described as more nerve-wracking than if there were razorblades between the keys of the keyboard.

The other thing you might consider is that nobody is asking you to like his music, and that you probably haven't heard enough of his music to find something that you would like. It wasn't until I was age 21 when I discovered the Mozart pieces that I loved at first hearing. The rest have grown on me since.

Because he was an amazing composer and his music lives on!

Listen to his music - I mean, really listen - and you'll know. He was an amazing composer, and he did it all by the age of thirty-five!

Listen to one of his songs 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times in a row. Notice how you never get tired of it? That's why.

I have asked myself and my colleagues this many times and have never gotten a straight answer. I do not particularly care for his music, although some things he wrote were quite astonishing.

I believe that people like Mozart out of pure respect, he was a child prodigy and genius. He, along with his contemporaries, began developing the form for symphonies and concertos.

Also, another of my theories is that people only like him because they have only been exposed to him and a small handfull of other composers and they like him and regard him so highly because that is all that they know.

I hope this provides a little insight into your question and hope it was what you were looking for.

He has a childlike happy sound to most of his music...idk thats why I like him

He was a genius!

i guess i has to do something with the legacy he left behind.

The perfection of every single piece of music he ever wrote.

The evocative beauty of each and every piece he wrote.

The hidden complexities contained within even his simplest of pieces.

We who like Mozart's music just wish he had lived longer -- to write even more masterpieces.

Mozart's music has a precision that is almost mathematical. There is a cleanness to it, and a deceptive simplicity in many of his pieces.

These qualities resonate with many listeners, which is why his music enjoys such long-lived popularity.

These qualities also annoy some listeners, and it was a rejection of such precision and cleanness that led to post-classical music movements such as romanticism, impressionism, modernism and post-modernism.

Apparent simplicity and beauty on the surface, and actual complexity and beauty at deeper levels.

(ie: there's something for every classical music lover, from the avid listener, to the professional)

There are several very good answers so far.
He was a genius indeed.
His music is indeed a true perfection - when the Austrian Kaiser Josef II has been asked at the "Entfernung aus dem Serail" premiere about his opinion he has murmured: "It . . has . . too many notes!" and Mozart's reply has been: "They are exactly as necessary, Your Majesty!"
I agree with all answers above, but I would add one more reason why I like his music, trying to answer why it is so amazing (additional details). Listening to this bright music it is hardly to believe that it's created by a composer, who has had such a difficult life.
His music is the most optimistic of all things I know.

I think people like his music because he was a child prodigy, composing music at a young age, etc. When comparedto some of his contemporaries, I think his compositions is neither superior or inferior to any of them. I happen to think his music is predictable and sometimes boring. I don't know, I guess it's just a matter of preference. I happen to like Beethoven a lot more.

he was a master at capturing mood and character, he was technically brilliant, and possessed an unsurpassed sense of style. if he were a painter, he'd be da vinci; if he were a sculptor, he'd be michelangelo. listen to 'cosi fan tutte' and notice how he captured the essence of each character while winding them into masterfully-crafted ensembles. notice how he builds suspense and excitement, and brings the mood down to mellow as the need arises. he does all of this within a free-flowing structure and a sumptuous orchestration. richard strauss was the only musician to come anywhere near his skill at integrating disparate moods and characters into a single score, in my opinion.

mozart was among the most gifted designers in any field.

he was a gneuis lokk how far he was a head of every one =)

because his music is so transparent!

Because his music had catchy tunes and was memorable, and simple enough for the common folk to understand.

Why do people like Backstreet Boys/N Sync? same reason
