What is the best brand of electronic piano that best mimics a real piano? |
I had my heart set on a roland fp-4 or something and i think this is perfect. any suggestions. i dont think casio is as good. so any suggestions on the perfect electronic piano that has all the keys and is perfect, because a real piano is too expensive? I want to use it to play classical piano music. No electronic piano is as good as the real thing. In my expirience you can usually get a conventional acoustic instrument for similar money to an electronic one - it depends on how much money you have to spend. You can get a decent electronic instrument for under $1000, for the same money you should be able to find a small upright piano. The major problem with electronic pianos is the action - they are usually poor in this respect. I had one for a while. It had weighted keys, but as soon as I could I bought a real piano - trust me the difference is "night and day." i have a yamaha clavinova - a really nice electric piano. NOT A KEYBOARD, but it sounds just like a piano and you can plug in headphones. even looks like a really classy piano. you can choose the touch (i.e. the feel of the weight) of the keys, too. i love mine! I think Casio Privia keyboards are pretty good. I have one and I love it! try roland of yamaha i have a korg clavinova, which was bought out by yamaha. if you can find one without all the ridiculous bells and whistles, it shouldn't be too expensive. i've had it for 20 years, and it sounds and plays as good as new. extremely easy to move, too. |
