Can you give me some help with a new piece? |
OK so Im really looking for a new romantic, slow song to play. Im looking for a classical piece somewhat like moonlight sonata, 1st mov. I like the flow and passion and i love to play it. I also like the style Erik Satie gympnopedies no.1. Any advice is appreciated! Although...I LOVE the first guy's suggestions...they are NOT classical. And the second guy.....i don't even know.... ANY music performed by the Mantovani Orchestra (strings) is wonderfully romantic! Everything the third person answered would be great. I'm sure that you'd love Beethoven's Pathetique and you can never go wrong with Chopin or Rachmaninoff, as far as I'm concerned. Any of their works should suit your tastes, judging by the pieces that you said you liked. Please try Debussy's "Sunken Cathedral" (aka "Engulfed Cathedral" or "Cathedral Engloutie"). It is one of my favorites. I think that I'm # 6 responder. Just wanted to reiterate what #'s 2,3,4 and 5 recommended: especially the Chopin Preludes. You'll love them. Try One of Rachmaninov's pieces: I like: |
