Trouble playing Beethoven!? |
Help please. I have trouble playing the trills on the top note on bar 30 (where you play 2 a's at once and trill the top one, i just cant do it no matter how hard i try!!!!) anyone got any hints, otherwise i cant go past the 30th bar... SORRY I FORGOT TO SAY MOONLIGHT SONATA MOVEMENT 3!!!! SO SORRY< BAR 30 In my Augener's edition it has two alternate ways of playing it - either holding the bottom A# whilst you play a triplet semiquaver/16th note then 4 demisemiquaver/32nd notes OR playing a quintuplet semiquaver/16th note - but only playing the A# in octaves on the first one. Therefore you are playing the octave, but only for a short time - you let the bottom A# go whilst you play the rest of it. As it's so fast and you'll be playing it with the pedal it may hardly be noticable. That's the one I'd go for - I think the first one would only be playable if you had very large hands. Also I wouldn't necessarily play the rest of the trill with 5 and 4 - I'd play the octave with 1 and 5 and then the rest with 4 and 3, as they're stronger fingers; though that's up to you. Beethoven is one of the most prolific musicians of all time. You might want to be a bit more specific about what piece of music you are talking about. Which instrument are you talking about ?....piano, guitar, violin ? |
