maybe classical music?

They were all violin makers in Cremona, Italy. Famous in a humungous way. Have you googled them yet? There's so much to tell you it would take weeks to print out.

All were luthiers from Cremona, Italy, 18th. century.

They are three VERY famous luthiers from Italy.Their instruments are highly valued today because of their superior sound.

They are violin makers. The Stradivari are known as the best violins in the world. The family were known to make the best violins because of their secret in making their violins sound so fantastic!

The Amati's were a step down from the Strads and are exceptional violin makers. Both of these makers have their violins auctioned for over millions of dollars!

the amati and stradavari family where 2 sets of violin makers from cremona italy, although they also made violas, cellos, and viol de gambas. to date the strad is percived as the best of the best and they are (i should know as i've played one, and the difference is like that between driving a lada and a bugghatti vaeron). the tone is fantasic, but the cost is just a tad out of my bank balance. to date there are only 50 stads and 100 or so amatis left in the world, and they cost anything from 拢1 million up to the famed unamed one which is owned by a japanese businessman, which would cost a cool 拢8 million.anyway i digress. stradivarius was born in cremona in 1644 and was a pupil of the amatis, but his best intruments where made between 1698 and 1720. andrea amati was responsible for the modern style of violins, and nicolo was his son who along with his brother girolamo perfected the F hole, and also pionered the modern alto format for the viola
