Do you think that Bruch's Concerto in G is "easier" compared to Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole or Mendelssohn's Concerto in E?
I'm not saying that any of them are inferior to one another, I just mean, which is the easiest to learn for a violinist. the Bruch is definitely far easier than the Mendelssohn鈥攊t demands much less in terms of endurance/stamina and technique. they are both excellent concerti. I鈥檓 not exactly sure how the Lalo stands in comparison (I鈥檝e not yet played it) but I鈥檇 say it鈥檚 about the same level as the Mendelssohn. |
