How is tone painting used in Vivaldi's Four Seasons? Specifically Autumn.?

You should learn to listen it helps. I'll give you my favorite example from La Primavera. It's in Rittonello form so it's a A B A C A D etc.. In the B the Violins are ment to sound like birds chirping and la primavera is spring. There are countless examples of tone painting and when my Music teacher taught us about it he used the Four Seasons. If you look up tone painting on wikipedia it will bring you to word painting but that's incorrect. Tone Painting is making Music (usally with the use of Tone Color or what instruments are playing) to make the music sound like a real life thing. At least that's what my teacher said.

Four Seasons is my absolute favorite! I've been listening to it for the past week on repeat nonstop. Espcially Violin Concerto No. 4 L'Invernno (winter). The "tone painting" is used according to the text. The entire "album" named "The Seasons" it's based on a few sonets. The genius of Vivaldi can be seen (as a matter of fact... can be heard), in the way he combined the musical tones with the lyrics of the sonet in every movement of this four concerts, creating that wonderful images.
