Some good classical music? |
anyone know any good songs or artist? get some songs from the soundtracks of pride and prejudice or phantom of the opera. For me, Handel's Water Music. I've always liked pachelbel I love Liszt, Chopin, Beethoven, Bach and Tchaikovsky. Liszt was a piano man, as was Chopin. Beethoven has very inspiring music, while Bach is more technical. Tchaikovsky is very flowing and romantic. You could check cd's from the library. I reccomend "The Pianist" soundtrack, for Chopin, Hungarian Rhapsody and Liebstrum for Liszt. Another fun way to expience classical music is through Disney's "Fantasia" movies. Try Bach's solo suites works violin and cello. Listen to Mozart if you're in or near a big city with a musical heritage, look for the free concerts. i've found some of my favorite pieces at them. i heard albinoni's adagio for organ and strings for the first time in a historic espiscopal cathedral and it knocked my socks off. the first time i heard holst's planets complete was at the st louis philharmonic, and they performed the female voice part on their instruments. it was on of the most stunning concert experiences of my life, and all it cost me was driving across town. they never did reveal how they did it, but these very realistic voices emanated from the stage as if out of thin air. if you're not sure how to find them [we don't have an arts calendar in the newspaper anymore], start with a college music department and watch for flyers. Ralph Vaughan Williams It depends on the mood you want to get by listening to it: there is some truly depressing but really beautiful ones like Luciaa di Lammermoor(you surely heard it in the fifth element), Saint- Sa毛ns "the Swan", Sibelius "valse triste", most of chopin's nocturnes,Puccini's "Madame butterfly" or the all-time classic, beethoven's "f眉r elise" There are some more joyful ones like Pachelbel's "Canon in D", Shostakovich's "Romande the Gafly", or you could opt for vivaldi's "four seasons" of which i prefer summer. Then there are some more chaotic ones like verdi's and mozart's requiems, beethoven's fifth and ninth symphonies, Orff's "Carmina Burana" Tchaikovsky's "Overture 1812". Of him some very good ones are "Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake" (I also really like his serenade for strings in c major). You really mean classical music? Because you ask for songs and artists? This sounds like you wanna hear some pop. |
