Sharp/flat trouble (piano)? |
I am getting confused on my sharps and flats. A sharp note goes right, and a flat goes left. Yes, it's called enharmonic. Don't worry, they both refer to the same key too. With a little more years of experience you will have no problem with this a all. Yes, the technical term is 'enharmonic' - different names, same sounds! Right. However, E# is not the same as Fb. Yes, in that example they are the same note. B# and Cb are also not the same note. It eventually will mater will certain types of scales (still will be the same note, but if you see the one you didn't expect instead of the other the composer probaly changed scales), but they are the same note. |
