Classical music help ....?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isRsJovZs...

at the 6:30 mark ...what is the name of the classical song being played? I've heard this song for year ...might have even played it when I was a child ... but I forgot the name of the song.

it's a GREAT show ..and I'm glad I found out about it from BBC America 3 months ago BY CHANCE . It comes on every day here in NYC . Great show ...love it ...but what is the name of the song?

J.S. Bach's "Air on the G String".

Wotan

Sorry, I kept getting distracted by the dialogue taking place. good show....

It's the "Air" section (second movement) of Ouverture No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068 by Bach.

Indeed, it's the "Air" of Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D, BWV 1068 by J.S. Bach. (Written for prince Leopold)
Please don't add "on the G string" because that's an addition for marketing reasons only. I don't suppose it's actualy played on the G-string. (It starts on F# and goes up to B) so why on earth would you play it on the G string?
The name comes from a 19th century adaption where the piece was transposed to C major. Now it's added to allmost any possible adaption.
